The Tail of Flopsy, Mopsy, and Ted is a short comic book, created by Bob Boyle and his niece Viviana Ogawa. The book is what inspired Boyle to create Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!, considering the fact that all of the characters in the book look very similar to the characters in the TV series.
A later picture book, entitled "Mopsy, Flopsy, and Ted!" was released, though it was quite different from this comic book.

Summary[]
Mopsy's tail is eaten by a "big long thing", causing Mopsy to come crying to Flopsy for help. Flopsy takes Mopsy to Ted to hear a story about tails, causing Mopsy to feel better about having a "different tail". Hip hip hooray!
Differences between this book and Mopsy, Flopsy, and Ted!/Wow! Wow! Wubbzy![]
- Mopsy, renamed Wubbzy in the Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! series, is stated a female character in this book.
- In Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!, Walden (previously Ted) lives in a large laboratory. In The Tail of Flopsy, Mopsy, and Ted, Ted lives in a tree stump.
- Mopsy walks on four legs in the book. In Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!, Wubbzy walks on two legs.
- Flopsy (later Widget) lacked clothing and also didn't have the "mechanical whiz" personality.
Trivia[]
- This comic book is what later based the Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! episode, A Tale of Tails.
- In one of the pages, Flopsy asks Ted to tell her and Mopsy "a tale of tails." This could be how the first Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! episode got its name.
