Recap[]

After putting her kite up in a tree on purpose, Widget invents the Happy Hopper 3000, but it doesn't work, no matter how hard she tries to fix it. Widget then does what she's never done before, give up! Walden and Wubbzy try to tell her not to just because her machine doesn't work. But still giving up on her machine, Widget sadly says she'll never invent anything again and walks away. Walden says Widget's getting the blooey blues and explains to Wubbzy that it's when you feel really, really sad and don't feel like doing anything, not even playing. Wubbzy decides to cheer her up. He enters her workshop and finds her lying in bed.

When Widget gets the Blooey Blues, she literally turns blue. Wubbzy tries to cheer her up by giving her a card, making funny faces and silly dances, but no matter how hard he tries, Widget's blooey blues get worse. So, Wubbzy decides to go Walden's observatory to ask Walden for help. Wubbzy and Walden try to cheer Widget up by telling the best jokes. Walden asks what a box full of ducks is called, but Wubbzy gives up and asks Walden what that's called. Walden answers: A Quack-in-a-box, then both of them laugh, but Widget doesn't, therefore, that joke doesn't work, so Wubbzy tries another joke. He asks how monsters count to 15, but Walden doesn't know and asks him that. Wubbzy answers: with their fingers, and then both of them laugh again, but Widget still won't laugh. So Walden and Wubbzy suggest pretending to be clowns. They come back in a tiny clown car and jump out. As Widget continues to be sad, Wubbzy holds up a pie and throws it at Walden in the face, then pranks him with a squirting flower, but it doesn't work. Widget is so sad that Walden and Wubbzy can't cheer her up.

Wubbzy and Walden get outside and stand next to the Happy Hopper. Walden says Widget sure has a bad case of the blooey blues, and Wubbzy says it's all her silly new invention's fault. Walden then decides that they should try and fix the Happy Hopper to cheer Widget up, then she'll turn back from blue and sad to pink and happy again. Wubbzy uses his to tail to bounce into the Happy Hopper 3000 and realizes that it didn't work because the batteries fell out, but he puts them back in before making sure the machine was turned off. (Walden warns him not to) The Happy Hopper 3000 starts going and Wubbzy is stuck on top of it with no way to turn it off. Walden tells Widget that Wubbzy's in trouble, and they hop aboard Widget's Super Net Thrower 3000. Together, they chase The Happy Hopper across Wuzzleburg and Widget saves Wubbzy from the rampaging robot by throwing a net on it. This cures her blooey blues.
